EU and UNDP launches drawing contest to promote public services

ANNOUNCEMENT

In cooperation with Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Mahalla and Family Support of the Republic of Uzbekistan, European Union to the Republic of Uzbekistan, we're launching a drawing contest among children.

 DRAWING CONTEST AMONG CHILDREN ON THE THEME 

"PUBLIC SERVICES FOR MY FAMILY"

Goals of the contest:

  • Raising public awareness of the activities of the Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Public Service Centers operating throughout the country.
  • Raising awareness of citizens, in particular, people with disabilities, older people and family members about the possibility of receiving public services online through the portal www.my.gov.uz through the creative work of children participating in the contest.
  • Increasing access to public services through Public Service Centers, single portal www.my.gov.uz, call center - 1148 and telegram bot @davxizmataloqa_bot;
  •  Effective organization of free time of participants.

Target audience (participants):

Children from all regions of the country in two age categories:

1) 6-9 years old

2) 10-14 years old

Brief description of the contest:

The drawing competition will be held from May 5 to June 25, 2020.

Drawings will be accepted online from May 5 to May 30, 2020 till 18:00.

Children of employees of the Diplomatic Corps as well as children of representatives of foreign organizations accredited in the Republic of Uzbekistan can also participate in the contest

Selection of winners will be conducted in three stages:

1-stage

An independent jury will select 100 pictures (if the contest receives more than 100 pictures) from all applicants, 50 pictures in each age category, which will be posted on the contest website in online gallery

2-stage

Online voting will be held on the voting portal of the contest www.voting.ipsd.uz for all residents of Uzbekistan without any restrictions in order to select 20 best pictures by 10 pictures in each category. Each voter will be able to vote only for one picture in each age category.

3-stage

The jury will select the winners from the top 20 pictures, which will have been selected by online voting in two age categories.

Drawings with the application of a participant in Uzbek, Russian, Karakalpak and English languages (scanned or photographed by phone in high-quality) will be accepted from May 5 to May 30, 2020 until 18:00 (Tashkent time) by e-mail info@ipsd.uz or telegram bot @contest_ipsd_bot

Pictures should be drawn on paper of A3 or A4 format using watercolors, pencils and other means for drawing and reflect the followingthemes:

  • demonstrate how to receive public services by family members in public service centers;
  • show how to receive public services directly in public service centers;
  • show the methods and ways of receiving online and offline public services;
  • demonstrate the importance of public services in family life;
  • show the most popular public services for family members, etc.

In order to participate in the contest, children’s drawings on the theme “Public Services for My Family” will be accepted with a brief description of the drawing. Drawings that describe other different themes will not be accepted. Only one drawing will be accepted from each participant.

TRANSFER OF COPYRIGHTS: The participant who sends his/her drawing to the contest, gives his/her consent to the transfer of ownership rights for the distribution, duplication, copying, publication and use of his/her drawing by the organizers and partners. Organizers and partners will be obliged to to indicate the author of the drawing in their publications.

Additional four (4) winners will be selected from the organizers.

After the winners are selected, on June 25, 2020, a Drawing Exhibition and Official Awarding Ceremony of winners will be organized, with the participation of representatives of the Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry for the Support of Mahalla and Family, the Delegation of the European Union, representatives of Diplomatic Corps in Uzbekistan, media and other guests. Information about the exhibition will be announced additionally on the website www.contest.ipsd.uz or on the websites of the competition organizers.
