Over the past 10 years, the Government of Uzbekistan has conducted numerous reforms aimed at implementation of ICT in all areas of public life and has made good progress in the promotion of ICTs for development and implementation of the e-government concept.

Seeing the strategic importance of this area of reform, UNDP Uzbekistan since the early 2000s has been consistently supporting the government’s policy on digitalization and e-government development. UNDP’s activities in this area focus on ensuring the interests of citizens and businesses as main beneficiaries of e-governance reforms via improving the quality and accessibility of public services.

This booklet describes key areas, forms and results of UNDP’s assistance in promoting ICT and e-government in Uzbekistan.
