Young Rescuers

Tashkent hosted a Republican competition among “Young Rescuers” teams established based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On full-scale preparedness activities of population for emergency situations (natural or man-made disasters) caused by an earthquake”.

The competition was held in stadium of the Fire technical school of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Sixteen teams of “Young Rescuers” of 128 school children from different regions of our country competed for the title of best team of “Young Rescuers”.  Competition was organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the Ministry of Public Education and Youth Movement "Kamolot" and the UNDP “Strengthening disaster risk management capacities in Uzbekistan” Project.

The competition was conducted in five stages where teams showed their skills and knowledge in rescue works and theoretical knowledge on how to behave during emergency situations.

As a result of competition scores the 1st place was awarded to the team of school 172 of Tashkent city, the 2nd place went to the team of school 13 of Chirchik, Tashkent region and the 3rd place is awarded to the team of orphan-house 21 of Tashkent city. Each participants took with him not only the prizes and diplomas, but the fire of joy, friendship, love, creativity and the positive spirit, which dominated during the competition among teams.

The diploma "For the will to win" was awarded to the team of school 158 of Tashkent city. The nomination "The best rescuer" among girls went to Kanaldinova Gavhar from Andijan and Genzhebaev Azizbeyov from Karakalpakstan was found as a "Best rescuer" among boys. All other team members also received diplomas "For active participation" and their deserved prizes.

At the end all participants of Republican competition enjoyed the concert of children talent groups.
