The signed MoU marks an important milestone for partnership and sets out key areas of cooperation between two organizations from establishing the SDG Innovations and Governance Laboratory to supporting core activities of the Ministry on introducing innovations in public administration, economics, agriculture, social sector and environment. UNDP cooperation with the Ministry under signed MoU will focus on:

• Supporting the implementation of the National Innovation Strategy;
• Setting up an SDG Innovation and Governance Lab to introduce new models of public policy making, service design, citizen engagement;
• Introducing digital solutions to streamline public administration, administrative procedures, promote a data-driven policy-making and improve public service delivery;
• Building capacity of the Ministry and other government agencies on governance innovations, business-process reengineering, design thinking, behavioral insights and other interdisciplinary techniques.
