E-SUD system processed almost 450 thousand applications in 2017

In 2017 the E SUD National case management system processed 442 435 applications. This is 40% of all cases considered in civil courts of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the E-SUD, average number of visits to civil courts for a dispute went from 6-7 to 2-3 times, while the parties to the dispute reduced their trial expenses by 10%.

Furthermore, through the E-SUD, 3000 women in the remote regions of Uzbekistan have positively resolved alimony disputes for the benefit of children. This is 10% of all alimony disputes considered in civil courts in 2017.

The E-SUD was developed in 2013, and has been implemented within the joint ‘Rule of Law Partnership in Uzbekistan’ project of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Development Programme. Today all of Uzbekistan’s 75 civil courts are using set up the E-SUD system.
