#WorldYouSee: What’s your vision?Oct 2, 2015
In recognition of the newly adopted and transformative 2030 Development Agenda/SDGs and the tremendous influence and roles that young men and women play in human development and societal transformation, we are pleased to announce the launch of the #worldyousee visual image contest on the Global Goals for young men and women!
This open competition aims to generate insights and perspectives from young men and women on how they see the world around them evolving, in particular the role of effective and responsive governments in creating peaceful societies and empowered youth for sustainable development.
Specifically, it provides an opportunity for the youth to share what they see as good practices or issues in their respective context, sectors or countries, with regard to SDG 16 – “Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels”. The visual images from the competition will contribute to further enhance national and international recognition of young people’s roles and their attitude and outlooks as the world adopts the new Sustainable Development Goals.
Please share this information with your networks and all youth in your countries, and encourage them to submit entries. Please feel free to share the contest rules and regulations via your email or your respective social media platforms, and invite them to submit entries via Iconosquare.
We look forward to hearing your youths’ voices through their images! Deadline for entries is 23 October 2015.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mehmet Erdogan (firstname.lastname@example.org), IRH communications team, or myself.
