Policy Brief on the current condition of Water Users Associations in Uzbekistan and recommendations on further development of their activities was developed in the frame of the joint project of the UNDP in Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan “Technical Capacity Building”, which is implemented in the frame of the EU Programme “Sustainable Management of Water Resources in Rural Areas in Uzbekistan”.

It is designed to assess the current stage of Water Users Associations in Uzbekistan, main challenges for development of WUAs, legal and regulatory, institutional basis of the activities of WUAs, as well as to provide recommendations on further development of their activities.
