This policy brief has been developed within the framework of the joint project ‘Support to the Sustainable Development of Livestock Sector in Uzbekistan’, undertaken by UNDP, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, and the Israeli Center for International Cooperation (MASHAV).

While the brief mainly focuses on milk production, given the project’s focus on dairy management, many of the policy recommendations are applicable to meat production as well. The Policy Brief presents both the main conclusions of situation analysis, and the policy lessons derived from the farm-level survey.
