The Clean Development Mechanism continues to evolve organically, and many legal issues remain to be addressed in order to maximise its effectiveness. The book ‘Implementing CDM projects: A Guidebook to Host Country Legal Issues’ explains through case studies how domestic laws and regulatory frameworks in CDM host countries interact with international rules regarding carbon trading, and how the former can be enhanced in order to facilitate the implementation and financing of CDM projects.
