Manual on Labour Disputes

Article 37 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan declares everyone shall have the right to work, including the right to choose their occupation. Every citizen shall be entitled to fair conditions of labour and protection against unemployment in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law.

This manual contains theory as well practical recommendations for consideration of labour disputes.

There are some important circumstances listed in the manual, which need to be taken into account while considering labour disputes, along with the examples of judicial decisions on commonly encountered disputes.

The manual is designed for judges, lawyers, legal experts, students and those interested in law.

The publication is developed within the framework of the “Rule of Law Partnership in Uzbekistan” project, which is a joint project of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and United Nations Development Programme.
